Semi-truck Caught on Fire After Crashing Into Gas Tanker

Collision on highway

At 4:30am this morning, a semi-truck caught on fire after crashing into an unsuspecting gas tanker parked at a pullout on the side of the road on highway 1-20, about 20 miles north of Cody.

The semi was completely engulfed in flames, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation. Everything around the accident fell victim to the flames as well. The grass on either side of the road caught on fire, and fences went up in smoke. The road was scorched as well, with black marking the road where the incident happened. The Department of Transportation has not yet determined whether the scorches from the fire have caused significant damage to the road, but the scorch marks resemble a roadside explosion.
