The Cody Police Department has reported that missing person David Kelsey, 50, has been found. Unfortunatley David was found deceased, and his body was recovered by Park County Search and Rescue from Beck Lake on Tuesday morning. David had been missing since January 23rd after leaving his home on Central Avenue. A search by the Cody Police Department, Park County Sheriff’s Departmant and Find-911 began early with exhausting hours and constant updates. Citizens were asked to check sheds and parked cars and review security cameras in an effort to locate David.
The Cody Police Department, in a statement, “would like to extend sincere thanks to the Park County Sheriff’s Office, Park County Search and Rescue, and the many volunteers with Find911 who dedicated countless hours assisting in the search for David. Your efforts and commitment were invaluable.”
The investigation into David’s death will continue, and the Cody Police Department will be working closely with the Park County Coroner to determine the cause of death.
There is no indication of foul play at this time.
