Sue Llibre, an ambassador from the Greater Yellowstone Fire Action Network, provided information to KODI listeners for how to be prepared in the event of a wildfire.
Llibre advised residents take the following precautions to ensure they’re ready in the event of a wildfire evacuation order:
-Have one duffle bag packed per member of the household, filled with three days worth of clothes.
-Have a cooler packed with medications, pet food, water bottles, sodas and snacks.
-Prepare a container for tools, such as cellphone chargers, battery backup, flashlights, gloves, masks, goggles and trash liners.
Additionally, Llibre will be hosting a speech at the Shreve lounge, from 6-7 p.m. on April 30, in which she will provide additional information regarding wildfire preparedness. Members of the Cody Fire Department will also be in attendance to provide advice on wildfire mitigation tactics.
