CHS Cross Country Runner Charlie Hulbert Wins Billings Invite

The 2023 Billings Cross Country Invitational at Ahmed Park saw 35 teams from across Montana with eight teams from Wyoming.

Cody, Buffalo, Burlington, Lovell, Powell, Rocky Mountain, Thermopolis, and Worland were the Wyoming schools competing.

Cody Bronc Senior Charlie Hulbert won the race with a time of 15:41.51, 15 seconds faster than Worland’s Trajn Swalstad in 2nd place.

The Broncs finished:

1st Charlie Hulbert

8th Ben Stewart

32nd Noah Kingston

36th Val Payne

37th Randall Nielson

The Broncs finished 3rd overall with 114 points behind Winner Billings West with 61 points and Worland with 112 points.

Cody Fillies Freshman Lillie Kirkham was 6th with Cody’s top finish.

The Fillies finished:

6th Lillie Kirkham

13th Mersades Jackson

20th Kylee Silva

21st Julia Nelson

23rd Elisa Wachob

Cody finished 2nd overall with 83 points, and Hardin won the Invite with 43 points including 4 top 10 finishes and winning 1st and 2nd.

Each race for both boys and girls had 100 runners in the Varsity Event.
