The Cody High School Broncs and Fillies have added 3 new Head Coaches to the Coaching Staff for the 2026-2027 season.
The Fillies have a new Head Volleyball Coach in Cindi Smith. Smith is no stranger to Park County. Coach Smith was at Powell High School for 17 years, winning 2 State Titl
es, one in 2008 and the other in 2013. Most recently, Smith won a Wyoming 1A State Championship at Riverside High School in Basin in 2022, the school’s only State Championship in any sport. Coach Smith is a 3 time Coach of the Year. Coach Cindi Smith also coached in Gillette between the Powell and Riverside stops.
The Broncs will have a new Head Basketball Coach, although a familiar face on the sideline. Cody Middle School Vice Principal Jeremiah Johnston. Coach Johnsyon has been the Broncs JV Coach for several years and takes over the reins. Johnston is also the Assistant Coach of the Cody Cubs Legion Baseball team.
The Cody Bronc Wrestling team will have a new Head Coach after a historic season. Coach Alex Smythe was an Assistant on the Broncs wrestling Coaching Staff. Coach Smythe comes from Eden, New York, where he holds the Eden High School all-time wins record at 227. Smythe wrestled for the University of Buffalo in College.
Volleyball is a Fall sport and will start its practices in August. Wrestling and Basketball are Winter sports and will begin practice in November.
