Yellowstone Quake Hire Don Babineau as Head Coach/GM

The Yellowstone Quake have hired Don Babineau to be their next Head Coach/General Manager.

Quake President Jon Riley announced Babineau as the next Head Coach/GM on Tuesday. The news was first publicized on the Yellowstone Quake Facebook page.

Coach Babineau is the 5th head coach in the last 4 years for Quake Hockey.

Coach Babineau has a history of success coaching and the junior level, including prior history coaching in the NA3HL.

In the time I’ve come to know Babineau over the last 2 years, I myself am very confident in his ability to lead our players both on and off the ice, and build a winning culture here in Cody,” said Riley.

According to Coach Babineau “I’m looking forward to being a part of the Quake organization. With a great foundation in place, I feel this is a great hockey destination. I’d like to thank the Yellowstone Quake organization for the opportunity. No doubt there are big things to come. I am excited to get started and continue to build this team into a championship contender. I’ve heard nothing but good things out of the division and have some history with a lot of coaches so it should be a fun ride.”

According to the Quake’s Facebook page, Coach Babineau has already been steadfast on the recruiting trail for the Quake and will continue to be throughout the summer. He will be joined on the bench this season by Assistant Coach Luke Fry, who will continue to serve in the same role for the organization.
