The Wyopreps Preseason coaches and media basketball polls were released on Monday. Taking a look at the girls side of the poll starting first with Class 4A. Thunder Basin leades the way with Cheyenned East second. Cheyenne Central is third, followed by Kelly Walsh and Natrona County fourth and fifth, respectively.
In Class 3A, the Worland Lady Warriors start out at number four. Douglas is a unanimous choice for number one with Mountain View second. Lyman comes in at number three and Lander is fifth.
In Class 2A, on the girls side, Wyoming Indian sits a top the poll. Sundance comes in at number 2. Rocky Mountain is third, followed by Moorcroft and Pine Bluffs in a tie for fourth.
And in 1A, the Meeteetse Lady Longhorns crack into the first poll of the season at number 5. Cokeville sits on top. Upton is second with Kaycee at number 3. Southeast joins the 1A ranks after being in 2A last year and checks in at number 4.
And now taking a look at the boys basketball preseason poll. In the 4A ranks Cheyenne Central claims the top spot. Thunder Basin comes in at number 2 with Sheridan 3. Cheyenne East is fourth with Campbell County fifth.
In Class 3A, after ending last season a top the polls the Worland Warriors fins themselves as the number 1 team heading into this season. Lander comes in at number 2. Rawlins is third with Powell and Wheatland in a tie for fourth.
In Class 2A, the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies start on top. Wyoming Indian comes in at second with Sundance third. Big Horn starts fourth with Pine Bluffs fifth.
And in 1A, Saratoga is first with Farson-Eden second. Southeast is third with Upton fourth and Encampment fifth.
