The 2020 Wyoming 3A Football season has concluded. Seven Warriors made the All-Conference team. Quarterback Rudy Sanford. Wide Receiver Brock Douzenis. Linebackers Aaron Carver and Taylor Pierce and Defensive Back Jorey Anderson. Offensive Linemen Josh Rose and Tucker Sullivan made the Honorable Mention list for the Wyoming 3A East Conference.
Rudy Sanford finished the season with 1212 yards passing with 102 completions on 205 attempts for a 49.8% completion percentage. Sanford averaged 134.7 yards per game. Throwing 15 touchdowns with only 8 interceptions. His quarterback efficiency rating was an outstanding 115.8. Sanford’s passing stats would also earn him All-State honors at Quarterback for Wyoming 3A football.
Of the 1212 yards Rudy threw for Brock Douzenis would have 704 of those yards receiving. Brock lead the state of Wyoming 3A in reception with 53, 11 more yards then the second ranked wide receiver. Douzenis would also lead Wyoming 3A football in yards per game with 78.2. He would also add 7 touchdowns to his season stats that would earn him All-State Wyoming 3A Honors as a Sophmore.
Leading the way defensively for the Warriors during the 2020 varsity football season was Linebacker Aaron Carver. Carver would earn his first All-Conference honors leading the Warriors in tackles with 98, one tackle less then 3A East Conference Defensive Player of the Year Buffalo’s Hyrum Hatch. Aaron averaged 10.9 tackles per game with 27 unassisted tackles and 3 sacks. Also at Linebacker earning All-Conference was Taylor Pierce. Taylor had 75 tackles averaging 8.3 per game,14 unassisted tackles and an interception. Rounding out the Defensive Warrior All-Conference at Defensive Back was Jorey Anderson. 44 tackles and averaging 4.9 per game. Jorey tied with 3A West Conference Defensive Player of the Year Nic Talich from Cody with a Wyoming 3A State high 4 interceptions. Jorey would also have a fumble recovery along with 2 blocked punts.
The Worland Warriors would add two Offensive Lineman to the list with Honorable Mentions for both Josh Rose and Tucker Sullivan.
