Woman Pleads Guilty to Arson of Abortion Clinic

Lorna Roxanne Green, 22, has pled guilty to arson of the Wellspring Health Access Clinic located in Casper, Wyoming.

Green was scheduled to meet in court to enter a potential plea deal. Green entered her guilty plea before U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on July 20, 2023. Following the hearing, she was taken into the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

During the hearing, Green admitted that she set fire to the clinic on May 25, 2022, which was under construction at the time. The clinic planned to offer OB/GYN services, gender-affirming care, and abortion procedures.

Green was arrested on March 21, 2023, and then indicted by the federal grand jury in May.

Green is scheduled to be sentenced on October 6, 2023 by Judge Johnson. She will face a minimum of five years in prison, with a maximum of 20 years in prison, and up to a $250,000 fine. She could have three years of supervised release following her incarceration, a $100 special assessment, and restitution.

After considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors, Judge Johnson will determine Green’s sentence.
