Warriors Win WHS Invite At Green Hills

The Warrior Invitational at Green Hills Golf Course was won by the home team.

The invite included Riverton, Thermopolis, Cody, Lovell, Lander, Powell and host team Worland,

The Lady Warriors finished third by 1 stroke to Lander. Lovell won the tournament with a score of 565, lead by the incredible scores from Erika Cook who shot a 74 on Thursday and a 75 on Friday.

The Lady Warriors were lead by Sophomore Taylor Simmons who shot an even 200. Followed by Samantha Keller with a 204 and Rihan Rosario with a 212.

The Boys would win the tournament with a team combined 652. Followed by Riverton with a 666. Thermopolis 682, Cody 713, Lovell 724, Lander 746, and Powell 784.

The Warriors individually: Karsten Simmons 135, Landen Gilmore 158, Jackson Dunham 166, Tyshon Swalstad 196, and Luke Voss with a 197.

The Individual Boys results overall. Karsten Simmons 135, Riverton – Parker Paxton 135. Simmons won in a playoff with a birdie. Thermopolis – Hardy Johnson 139, Cody – Hunter Hall 146, Worland – Landon Gilmore 158, Worland – Jackson Dunham 166, Lovell – Carter Lundberg 168, Thermopolis – Hadley Johnson 174, Riverton – Brodie Dale 177, Riverton – Brett Jones 177.

Worland has won both tournaments they have entered this year. Karsten Simmons has finished first overall in both tournaments.
