The Warriors score 23 points in the third period and would never look back against New Castle Monday night. The number one ranked Wyoming 3A Boys basketball team lead by one point at halftime during their 2021 season home opener. The New Castle Dogies came into Monday nights game with an 0-4 record for the season. New Castle didn’t play the first half like a team without a win.
The Dogies were lead by Zach Purviance who had 10 at the half and would finish with 19 points for the game. New Castle also had Taten Engle with 14 points on the night. Two Dogies would foul out in the game Aidan Chick and Landon Engle as the Warrior offense made things difficult for New Castle.
Worland had 4 players in double digits scoring. Mack Page and Court Gonzalez both had 10 each. Brock Douzenis had 15 points, he also scored the first 8 points of the 3rd period. The big scorer of the night for the Warriors was Senior Rudy Sanford who ended up with 20 points including 6, three pointers.
