The annual Play for Hope “PINK” game was Thursday at Warrior Gymnasium against the Thermopolis Bobcats.
The Warriors came into the game 14-3 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Worland had already won the Wyoming 3A Northwest’s number 1 seed for the Regional Tournament to be held at Mountain View High School on the 2nd and 3rd of March.
Thermopolis came in at 4-14 overall and 0-3 in the Northwest Conference.
The Warriors would finish the first period against the Bobcats with a 5-point lead 16-11.
Worland would score 32 points in the 2nd period alone, that pace for an entire game would end with 128 points, by way of comparison.
Off the bench, Junior Owen Page scored 14 points in the first half helping the Warriors take a 48-25 lead into halftime.
The Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) has set a running clock rule in basketball at 40 points.
The Warriors had a 36-point lead midway through the 3rd period.
The Bobcats would prevent the running clock and close out the 3rd period down by 29, 64-35.
The Warriors would score the second-highest total for the season with 77 points, Worland scored 78 against Rocky Mountain on January 13th at the Big Horn Classic.
Owen Page would end the game with 19 points, the second time this season the Junior led the team in scoring.
Seniors Carter Clark had 15, Brock Douzenis with 12, Kade Weber with 10, and Court Gonsalez ended with 7.
Junior Tyshon Swalstad had 8, Brody Thiel had 4, with Bryan Caballero and Masen Decker both added a bucket.
