The Worland High School Boy’s Basketball Team is 16-3 overall this season and finished 6-0 in the conference.
The 19-point 62-43 win over the Wyoming 3A number 4 ranked Lander Tigers on Saturday was the 15th win in a row for the Warriors.
Lander came into the game 13-6 overall and was the number 1 seed in the Southwest Quad in Wyoming 3A Boys Basketball.
Two number 1 seeds, top teams in their conferences, and both ranked in the top 5.
The game started like most thought it would with the Warriors ending the opening period with a 1-point lead of 11-10.
Both teams would score in the double digits in the 2nd period with Lander evening out the score 24-24 to end the first half.
The second half would start to speed up with the Warriors scoring 16 points, Lander was right behind scoring 13 of their own trailing by 3 to end the 3rd period 40-37.
Worland would finish the game in the 4th period by scoring 22 points, holding the Tigers to just 6 points in the final period.
The Warriors would end with a 19-point win 62-43.
Seniors Carter Clark and Kade Weber would both score 19 points in the match-up.
Brock Douzenis and Court Gonsalez would both score 7 points, and Landen Gilmore scored 5 points including a 3-pointer.
