Two UW Colleagues To Interview for Wyoming Business Council CEO

The two finalists for the new CEO of the Wyoming Business Council have been announced.

After reviewing 160 applications from across the country, two state residents and University of Wyoming employees are now being considered to head up the council’s efforts to enrich and enhance the businesses calling Wyoming home. Josh Dorrell is the Senior Vice President at Trihydro Corporation, where he heads up the Technology Services and Solutions unit. He also serves as an assistant lecturer at the University of Wyoming’s College of Business where he was named Professor of the Year in 2015.

The other candidate is Steve Farkas, the Assistant Dean for the University of Wyoming College of Business and a member of UW’s Executive Committee and Executive Board. He was Chief Operating Officer for a business that later became the industry’s largest company in the United States with more than 140 locations in 20 states and more than 2,000 employees. He serves as an executive consultant specializing in market entry strategy, organizational integration, and business process optimization for a variety of businesses ranging from technology and retail startups to established energy and financial service firms.

Both candidates have not only excelled in business leadership, but continue to share their knowledge and expertise with aspiring entrepreneurs thru their educational vocations. Either will do a stellar job helming the Wyoming Business Council. You can watch their live interviews on the Zoom streaming platform this Wednesday, January 8th. Find a link on mybighornbasin.com
