AFTER A SCORELESS FIRST QUARTER STAR VALLEY FINALLY GOT ON THE BOARD EARLY IN THE SECOND QUARTER ON A BRANT NELSON 21 YARD TOUCHDOWN PASS TO CHASE MERRELL AND THE BRAVES TOOK A 7-0 LEAD INTO THE HALF.

CODY OPENED THE SECOND HALF WITH THE FOOTBALL AND CONTROLLED THE TIME OF POSSESSION IN THE THIRD QUARTER BUT ONLY MANAGED 7 POINTS AND TRAILED AT THE END OF THREE, 13-7.

STAR VALLEY WOULD TACK ON 7 MORE POINTS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER AFTER NELSON RAN IT IN FROM 2 YARDS OUT ON FOURTH DOWN AND THE BRAVES WERE ABLE TO HANG ON FOR THE VICTORY.

WITH THE LOSS CODY DROPS TO 6-1 ON THE SEASON, 3-1 IN CONFERENCE BUT HAS SECURED THE NUMBER TWO SEED FOR THE PLAYOFFS WHICH BEGIN NOVEMBER 1ST. FOR THEIR FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAME OF THE YEAR THE BRONCS WILL MAKE THE TREK DOWN TO GREEN RIVER OCTOBER 25TH.
