Eggnog, gingerbread houses along with candy canes are all staples for the sweet tooth’s this time of year. But what are some of the best Christmas treats every year? Let’s take a look at three sweets you should be making this yuletide season:
- Christmas Cookie Decorating– Getting the family together and decorating Christmas cookies is a tradition for many, don’t let 2020 take that away! I think their are times when we forget that it is the simpler joys that can really impact our happiness. I know its just a sugar cookie with some frosting, but the experience is everything! This is a great recipe if you want to try something different this year.
- Chocolate Toffee– I myself am not the biggest chocolate fan but I know that I am in the minority here. My family and just about everyone has a soft spot for some chocolatey goodness so this recipe will lead you to the path most desired. If you have someone that has a nut allergy a great substitute in this recipe would be pretzels or granola. I know people get scared off by toffee sometimes because it can be difficult, but this recipe is said to be fairly simple and non time consuming.
- Christmas Blondies– Well blondes are supposed to be dumb so this should be easy right? (Sorry mom, just a joke!) This recipe calls for M&M’s and Oreos so you already know it is going to be fantastic. Those two things plus some chocolate chips and I think the perfect blonde brownie concoction has been crafted. Just wait to hear the rapid footsteps tumbling down the stairs when the family smells these!
