With the Wyoming Senior Babe Ruth State Baseball Tournament finishing this past weekend it’s a reminder of the tireless work Deb Larkins put into organizing the tournament.
The countless volunteers and amount of dedication it takes to put on this kind of tournament can’t be understated.
Deb Larkins was the leader of the efforts. Her presence may not have been physical, but without a doubt it was spiritual.
After her passing June 5, 2021 and after countless tears. The decision was made to honor Debbie Larkins and her efforts in organizing the Big Horn Basin Blue Jays, and spearheading the Wyoming Senior Babe Ruth State Tournament.
The Annual Deb Larkins Sportsmanship Award will be given to the team that displays the characteristics Debbie held in the highest regard. Sportsmanship, effort, and respect.
The Big Horn Basin Blue Jays received the first award. The Award will be given out every year at the Wyoming Senior Babe Ruth State Tournament and will travel with the team that wins it. The team name will be engraved on the plaque with the year it was earned.
