Cody Beers, Public Relations Specialist for the Wyoming Department of Transportation, spoke about how much winter affected the roads in the Cowboy State, especially along the I-80 corridors. Snowplows had to deal with above-average snow totals combined with 50 MPH winds that causes 6-7 foot drifts. With manpower down, it was a struggle and put the department in a $10M dollar hole. Cody spoke about where WyDOT will find the money to make up for the shortfall as well as projects going on around Park County this summer.
