Are you ready for some football? Spring football that is.
On Tuesday, for the first time in two years, the Wyoming Cowboys participated in spring practice. Players, coaches and fans are eager to gaet a new season underway. The NCAA allows the Cowboys to have 15 spring practices, with the final day being the Spring Game on Saturday May 8th, that’ll be open to the public.
Last year’s season was a whirlwind of strange and Head Coach Craig Bohl is looking forward to the normalcy that begins with this spring.
Coach Bohl details what to expect from practice over the next month.
“This will be a very physical spring. We were not able to have spring football last year, and so we’re going to do a significant amount of scrimmaging and see where our team lies. We really want to identify what things we can do well. We’ve always utilized our time well in the spring and I thought last year, without spring football, it really handcuffed us. It’s going to be good to get back to playing Cowboy Football.”
The Cowboys have 22 of 24 starters returning to the team for the 2021 fall season.
Tim Harkins of the University’s official website details what to expect from Wyoming football going forward. That preview can be viewed here: https://gowyo.com/news/2021/4/6/football-2021-wyoming-spring-practice-begins-tuesday.aspx
