Friday morning on KODI’s “Speak Your Piece with Darian Dudrick,” the city planner talked about the recent approval of a new brewery in Cody.
Todd Stowell detailed the process, which was anything but smooth as the number of parking spaces came into question. Finally, a special exemption was granted by the planning and zoning board to Cody Craft Brewing on East Sheridan. It allows for a maximum occupancy of 140 people and about 47 parking spaces. In order to satisfy the number of parking spaces, brewery owners needed to reach agreements with some neighboring businesses, Stowell said.
Dudrick’s other guests Friday from the city were Barry Cook, city administrator, and Phillip Bowman, public works director.
There was a recap of a recent work session and a preview of the April 6 council meeting. Other items discussed included possible year-round brush pickup, new subdivisions and Wyoming House Bill 179 (optional municipal tax).
