A bar and restaurant shutdown is currently not in consideration according to a spokesman Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon.
Gordon spokesman Michael Pearlman stated that the governor is looking at the wide array of options of how to navigate this ever-growing pandemic spread, but bars and restaurants are currently not in jeopardy “at this time,” according to Townsquare Media of Cheyenne.
“More restrictive” orders may be put in place soon but the governor is still unsure of what exactly is next.
The face mask mandate was put into place officially on November 17th by Park County health officer, Aaron Billin. Eight other counties including Natrona, Sweetwater, Sheridan, Lincoln, Carbon, Goshen, Sublette and Hot Springs counties all followed in suit Tuesday as well.
That now puts the count at 12 counties that have approved of some form of a mask mandate. Washakie and Converse counties requests are currently being reviewed.
The governor did make it clear that “all things are on the table” moving forward as this virus continues to spread.
