A giant ranch, just outside of Meeteetse, is on for sale for $85million after being run by the same family for nearly 130 years.
The May family is selling their ‘Antlers Ranch’ close to Meeteetse, after running it for more than a century.
Just like in television series, ‘Yellowstone’, the ranch 16,000 deeded acres and controls over 40,000 acres, is part of the ‘part of the 22 million-acre Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem’ with Yellowstone National Park in its center, according to the Daily Mail.
The ranch’s lands and the about 330 types of animals living on it – like elk, moose, eagles, deer and gray wolves – resulted in it being dubbed ‘Little Yellowstone’.
The property is listed with Latham Jenkins of Live Water Properties and was first put on the market in August. The gorgeous spread has Cutthroat trout and other fish swimming in the river and three creeks running through Antlers Ranch, according to the listing.
The main house was originally constructed in the 1930s but was renovated 12 years ago.
‘We’ve had prospective buyers touring the ranch since its launch, but many wanted to wait until after the election to make a decision,’ associate broker Jenkins told FOX Business.
‘Now, post-election, we’ve noticed a significant increase in earnest interest and new leads. It’s possible we could have a new owner by spring.’
The property ‘really is one of the West’s legacy ranches,’ Jenkins told Mansion Global. ‘It’s been in the same family, the May family, since 1895,’ and has never been for sale.
Antlers Ranch is one of about 12,000 farms and ranches in Wyoming, according to a US Department of Agriculture report.
