The Class 3A Stat Championship Track meet was in action last weekend and both the Powell boys and girls came away as State Champions.
The Powell girls won the State Title with 105.5 points, just 2.5 points over 2nd place Worland.
The Powell Boys tallied 107.5 points, just 8.5 points over Lander.
Let’s take a look at some of the top individual performers.
First for the Powell girls:
Waycee Harvey was 4th in the 400 and Long Jump.
Anna Bartholomew was 4th in the 800.
4×400 Relay team was 3rd.
Sprint Medley Relay team was 2nd.
4×800 Relay team was 1st.
Addy Thorington was 2nd in the High Jump.
Ine Kollstad was 2nd in the Long Jump.
Sydney Spomer was 1st in the Triple Jump with Ine Kollstad 2nd.
Lauryn Bennett was 3rd in the Pole Vault.
Now for the Powell Boys:
Cody Seifert was 4th in the 100 and 3rd in the Long Jump and 2nd in the Triple Jump.
Daniel Meritt was 1st in the 800 and 4th in the 1600 and 2nd in the 3200.
Hyrum Jeide was 4th in the 110 hurdles and 3rd in the 300 hurdles.
4×100 Relay team was 3rd.
Isaiah Woyack won the Triple Jump and was 2nd in the High Jump.
Jeremy Harms was 3rd in the Pole Vault.
