The general election is less than a week away – but do you know where and when to go vote?
Park County Clerk Colleen Renner clarified some of the big questions about voting in Park County, to make sure everyone does so safely and responsibly.
When can I vote?
The polls for the general election will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Where can I vote?
All of Park County’s polling locations are open. Make sure that you go to the right polling location if you’re planning to go in person.
- South Fork residents go to the Southfork Fire Hall
- Wapiti residents go to the Wapiti Elementary School
- Clark residents go to the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center
- Ralston residents go to the Ralston Clubhouse
- Powell (in-town) residents go to the Park County Fairgrounds
- Garland residents go to the Garland Community Church of God
- Meeteetse residents go to the Meeteetse Senior Center
- Cody residents go to either the Cody Auditorium or Cody Recreation Center
- Cody Center North Inside, West Inside, Center Inside, Center South Inside, West & North Inside, West & South Inside, East & North Inside, and East & South Inside at the Cody Auditorium
- Cody East & North Outside, East & South Outside and West & North Outside at the Cody Recreation Center

Are masks required at the polling locations?
No, although wearing a face covering is highly encouraged for all voters.
Can I still register to vote?
Yes, but you must vote on the same day. Wyoming is technically in a closed registration period, but you can still register up to and including the day of the election. But you must vote the same day that your register, whether that’s at the polls or the County Clerk’s office for an early vote.
Can I still receive and submit a mail-in vote?
No, but absentee voting is still an option. If someone still wants an absentee ballot, you can pick one up at the County Clerk’s office – just be sure to have an ID to verify your identity.

The results of Park County’s elections will be streaming in through the evening, with the first numbers anticipated around 8:30 p.m., an hour and a half after the polls close.
Renner said they had over 8,300 absentee ballots to count as of Wednesday afternoon and over 2,000 people have already visited the County Clerk’s Office – a very sizable amount for Park County.
