Park County Library Reopens with Amended Hours

Another Cody opening worth celebrating today.

Effective today, the Park County Library will once again be open for your book and literature needs. The Library has been closed since mid-March, when the first of the coronavirus closures started rolling in. Thankfully, their curbside checkout has been keeping everyone occupied and well-read, and they have taken the opportunity to clean and sanitize everything to ensure the safety of the community.

With this opening comes a new set of rules to minimize contact and the risk of infection. The Park County Library will only be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at this point, with a maximum building capacity of 25 people at time – as per the amended public health orders from Governor Gordon. Contact tracing will be required by the county health department. There will be an hour set aside each day for high risk individuals, who are welcome to browse the shelves or do anything else they might need to accomplish from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., the Library will open to the general public. Regardless of your browsing speed or risk of infection, the Library closes at 5 p.m.

Curbside service will continue to be offered on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 -5.

Bear in mind that these times and practices are subject to change to keep an eye on the Park County Library website and Facebook page to plan your next visit. For any questions or to make any library arrangements, call (307) 527-1880 or send an email to Cody@parkcountylibrary.org
