The general concensus is that the best time of day to see the lights is from 9:30pm to 1:00am. While northern lights viewings are not common around here, they are still possible with the right conditions.
In order to have the best chance of seeing them, location is crucial. It is important to go somewhere with little to no light pollution and a clear view of the horizon.
With the recent Mullen Fire, some parts of Wyoming may be too hazy to view the northern lights.
Good luck and happy viewing!
