The Lady Warriors were in Lander on Saturday to face the 5-14 Lady Tigers.
Worland came into the game at 4-14 overall with a 1-5 conference record.
The game started slow for the Lady Warriors able to put 1 point on the scoreboard after the first 8-minute period, fortunately, the Worland Girls’ defense played well to keep them in the game, 9-1 after 1.
The half would end with a 16-6 Lander lead as both teams scored under 10 in the second period.
In the second half, both teams’ offenses picked up with the Lady Warriors scoring 10, and Lander scoring 11 ending the 3rd period with an 11-point Lander lead of 27-16.
The final was a 37-25 Lady Tiger win, moving Worland to a 4-15 overall record with 1 game remaining in the regular season.
Junior Sisters Nayelli and Yahaira Aguayo both scored 7, along with Sophomore MacKenzie Ray who also had 7 points.
