The Worland Warriors got the win over the Riverton Wolverines on Saturday. 7-0 as four different Warriors would score.
With over 50 shots on goal against the Wolverines. Head Soccer Coach Ron Overcast would say. ” We are trying to use the entire field. give teams a pick your poison look.”
A big kick pass from JT Klinghagen lead to a Riley Blood goal 1:20 seconds in the first half.
At the 23:13 mark in the first half Cole Venable would score from the near side wing with a huge 40 plus yard pass from Yahir Rodriguez.
After a penalty inside the box Venable would score on a PK with 11:08 remaining in the first half. A 3-0 halftime lead by the Warriors.
Court Gonzalez would score his first goal of the season in the first :49 seconds of the second half from just outside the box, midway between the pipes.
Cole Venable would score the hat trick ,with his third goal, from the far side wing with 36:23 left to go in the game.
Senior Yahir Rodriquez would score :53 seconds later with his first goal of the season 20 yards out just far side. He would add his second goal with 21:17 left in the game. The 7th point of the game.
Backline included Junior Jackson Wassum and Junior Kolter Wyman. Mid-field of Jorey Anderson, Court Gonzalez, Gavin Schneider.
Attack of Rudy Sanford, Cole Venable, and Riley Blood. Kade Weber would play the first half at Goal Keep with Trae Bennett getting time at Keeper in the second half.
Big minutes would also be played by Carter Clark, and Jonah Bailey, Matt Werbelow, and Matt Wantulok.
