The Fishhawk Fire has gone quiet.
Quiet enough for the Type 2 Management team assigned to the fire west of Cody to pack up and go home, which is what was happening yesterday at the fire camp at Buffalo Bill State Park. Team Blue transferred responsibility of the Fishhawk Fire back to the local forest ranger district.
As of this weekend, the fire had grown to about 11,171 acres south of Highway 14/16/20, about 40 miles west of Cody.
According to a release from the incident management team, forest area closures are still in place around the perimeter of the Fishhawk Fire, as well as around the Stink Water Fire in the Sunlight Basin area.
The Stink Water Fire is still holding at 47 acres, and will also benefit from the moisture that has fallen on the region since Friday.
