The Cody Fillies Swim and Dive team, coming off a 2nd place finish at state a year ago, now have their sights set on the 2021 campaign. The Fillies have already hit the water for a Pentathlon in Lander last weekend where Tara Joyce finished to top performer, winning four of her five events and set two more state records. The Fillies bring back plenty of talent a year ago and Head Coach Emily Swett returns to the program to help lead Filly swim to bigger and better things. I had the pleasure of sitting down with coach Swett and Coach Amber Boysen to preview the fall and here’s that interview.
The Cody Fillies Swim and Dive team fresh off the Lander Pentathlon will host their first meets of the season Thursday and Friday.
The Cody Filly Swim and Dive team opened their season at the Lander Pentathlon on Saturday.
Tara Joyce led the way for the Fillies winning four of the five events she competed in, while setting school records in the 100 free and 100 fly. Her combined total time among the five events she swam in was 4:41. She finished with a 1:19 in the 100 free and a 1:01 in the 100 fly.
Paige Bower would finish in 15th overall with a combined time of 5:25 while Kelly Joyce was 17th.
