The Cody Fillies Volleyball team is on the rise.
The Fillies played their first conference game in Lovell last Thursday and got a 3-0 sweep of the Lovell Lady Bulldogs 25-22, 25-13, 25-19.
Friday Cody traveled to Casper for the Casper Invite at the Ford Wyoming Center and faced great competition.
The first match was to 3A Rawlins, the Fillies would get a 2-0 win 25-12, 25-14.
The second match was against 4A Cheyenne East, Cody would get a 2-1 win 23-25, 25-19, 25-11.
The third and final match on Friday was against 4A Riverton, the Fillies got a 2-0 sweep 25-18, 25-20.
Cody would be in the Gold Bracket of the invite on Saturday’s first match was to 3A Worland, Cody got the sweep 2-0 25-17, 25-12.
The final match at the Casper Invite was to the defending 4A State Champions and the current number 1 ranked Laramie Lady Plainsmen.
Cody would push Laramie to the limit in the Semifinal match but would lose 26-24, 29-27.
The Fillies will host their first home match of the season against conference opponent Powell on Thursday at 6pm.
On Saturday, Cody will return to Casper to play the Natrona County Lady Mustangs.
