Eight Cody Cubs Earn All-Conference Honors

Tuesday night the Class “A” Legion Baseball All-Conference honors were announced.

The Cody Cubs would have four players earn first team All-Conference while four more earned 2nd team All-Conference for a total of eight players garnering post-season awards, that leads Class “A”.

Tristan Blatt, Devyn Engdahl, Tyler Grenz and Jackson Schroeder were named the Cubs First Team honorees. Those four earned All-Conference in 2019 and 2020 as well.

Ethan Johnson, Wyatt Carlson, Dominic Phillips and Trey Thomasson were all awarded 2nd team All-Conference. Johnston was All-Conference in 2019 and 2020. This is the first All-Conference award for Carlson, Phillips and Thomasson.

In addition to First Team All-Conference, Tristan Blatt was voted the Western “A” Conference Player of the year, also won that award last year.

From Powell, First Team:

Brock Johnson, Kobe Ostemiller and Trey Stenerson.

From Powell, Second Team:

Kolt Flores, Mason Marchant, Cade Queen and Jhett Schwahn.

From Lovell, First Team:

Tyson Christiansen and Carlos Rodriguez.

From Lovell, Second Team:

Satchel Ginest, Ezra Harlow, Tucker Jackson, Dallen Mangus, CJ Pickett.

Powell’s Brock Johnson earned the Western “A” Pitcher of the Year while Green River’s Ben Lail was voted the conference’s Coach of the Year.
