Cubs Sweep Riverton for 8th Win in a Row

THE CODY CUBS WERE ABLE TO GET THE SWEEP TUESDAY NIGHT AGAINST THE RIVERTON RAIDERS WINNING THE GAMES BY A COMBINED SCORE OF 18 RUNS.

IN GAME 1, JACKSON SCHROEDER WAS THE STARTING PITCHER GETTING THROUGH 5 AND A THIRD INNINGS PITCHED WITH ONLY ALLOWING JUST 2 HITS, 2 WALKS AND STRIKING OUT A WHOPPING 12 BATTERS.

THE CUBS HAD NO ISSUES ON OFFENSE EITHER IN GAME 1 GETTING 15 HITS AND HAVING EVERY PLAYER IN THE ORDER REACH BASE. JARED GRENZ KEPT HIS HOT HITTING ALIVE GOING 4-5 WITH A PAIR OF DOUBLE AND A PAIR OF SINGLES.

THEY WOULD WIN THE FIRST OF THE DOUBLE HEADER, 10-1.

IN GAME 2, THE BATS WERE ALMOST AS HOT BRINGING IN 12 TOTAL HITS INCLUDING A HOME RUN FROM TRISTAN BLATT. HIS 3RD HOME RUN IN THE PAST 4 GAMES.

TYLER GRENZ WAS THE MAN ON THE MOUND IN GAME 2 PITHING 6 TOTAL INNINGS AND ALLOWED JUST 2 RUNS AND 6 TOTAL HITS. BLATT WAS ABLE TO TRANSLATE HIS HEAT WITH THE BATS TO THE HILL IN THE 7TH INNING NOT ALLOWING A RUN AND JUST 1 HIT WITH A STRIKEOUT AS WELL.

THE CODY CUBS WOULD WIN GAME TWO, 11-2.

WITH THE WINS THE CUBS IMPROVE THEIR RECORD TO 17-12 NOW HAVING WON 8 GAMES IN A ROW. THEY WILL TRAVEL TO SHERIDAN ON THURSDAY FOR A DOUBLE HEADER AGAINST THE TROOPERS AT 4 AND 6PM. CATCH COLE HAVENS AND MAC MOREY AGAIN FOR THE PLAY BY PLAY ACTION ON KODI.
