On Wednesday, the Wyoming Coaches Association announced the latest inductees to the Hall of Fame as well as severely award winners.
11 coaches from around the State have been inducted into the WCA Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, two coaches will receive Distinguished Service Awards and four officials will be inducted into the Wyoming Sports Officials Association Hall of Fame.
Cody’s own Mike Thompson is one of two coaches to receive the Distinguished Service Award.
According to the WCA “This award is designed to honor an individual(s) for their contribution and support to the Wyoming Coaches’ Association.”
I think we can all agree that Coach Thompson goes above and beyond for the kids at Cody.
Coach Thompson is an assistant for both the Cody Football and Basketball teams but his guidance doesn’t stop there as he helps out with just about every sport that he can.
Along with Coach Thompson, Dale Estes from Powell will also receive the Distinguesed Service Award.
