Cody High School’s Devyn Engdahl has singed on to play College Baseball at College of the Siskiyous in California. Siskiyous is a Junior College located in Northern California and competes in the Golden Valley Conference. Engdahl is currently entering his final year as a member of the Cody Cubs American Legion baseball team. I was able to sit down with the Cody Senior and talk to him about college baseball, what this summer has in store for the Cody Cubs and more. Devyn on why he chose College of the Siskiyous.
Last year for the Cubs Engdahl was voted All-State. He tallied 67 hits at the plate, recorded 58 RBI’s while posted a batting average of .381. On the mound Engdahl poste a 3.02 ERA. Head coach of the Cubs Bart Grenz had this to say after Engdahl’s 2020 season. “Devyn had a great all-around year. We asked him to play multiple positions for us and he handled everything we asked of him with undeniable maturity.”
