Over the weekend the Cody Track and Field teams were on the road for a pair of meets, at Worland on Thursday and at Powell on Saturday.
No team results were taken for the Worland D & D meet.
A few individual performances to pass along. For the Fillies: Ava Stafford and Taylen Stinson finished 1-2 in the 1600 meter run and 3-4 in the 800 meter run.
Nicole Wagler was first in the 100 meter hurdles, Holly Spiering was 1st in the Long Jump and the Fillies 4×400 relay team took 1st.
For the Broncs: Luke Talich was 1st in the 100 meter dash and Long Jump while finishing 3rd in the 200. His brother Nic was 1st in the Triple Jump, Robby Porter was 1st in the High Jump and AJ Baustert was 1st in the Discus throw.

On Saturday Cody took part in the Powell Invitational that featured nine teams from the area.
The Fillies would finish in 2nd place with the Broncs in 6th.

A couple of top performers include…
For the Fillies: Lake Harrison would finish in third place in the 100 and 400 meter dash as well as the High Jump.
Holly Spiering was top 5 in the 100 and 400 meter dash as well as placed 1st in the Long Jump.
Three of the four Cody relay teams would finish 1st place. The Broncs Sprint Medley Relay team took 5th.
For the Broncs: David Juergens was 2nd in the 1600 meter run and 6th in the 800.
Jackson Schroeder would finish 5th in the 100 meter dash while Luke Talich was 2nd in the Long Jump and 5th in the 400.
The highlight of the day came from Lovell’s Quinn Lindsay who set a new Lovell High School record in the discus throw at 182-feet-3-inches. That beats the old record, held by his dad Chad for 32 years, by almost 7 feet.

Cody Track is back in action Thursday at Powell, for the Park County Quad before heading to Sheridan on Saturday.
