The Cody Police Department arrested two adults – Moshe Williams and Carolyn Aune – after a two-year-old child was brought into a local emergency room.
According to a report related by the Cody Police Department, the child was brought into the emergency room at Cody Regional Health at 1:26 p.m. Saturday, March 27.
Hospital staff treating the child noticed signs of possible child abuse. They called the police to investigate the situation.
Based on their findings, officers determined there was enough evidence to arrest Williams and Aune. They were placed under arrest on Wednesday, March 31.
30-year-old Moshe Williams has been charged with one count of felony aggravated child abuse.
28-year-old Carolyn Aune has also been charged with one count of felony aggravated child abuse.
Both are being held in the Park County Detention Center for arraignment.
The child’s condition is currently unknown.
