After several new confirmed cases of COVID-19 – including one at the Cody Regional Health Long Term Care Facility – Park County health officials reaffirm that the virus is still dangerous to all Park County residents.
Cody Regional Health confirmed that a positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed in one of the Long Term Care Facility’s employees during routine testing. The employee in question was not showing any symptoms and is currently at their home in self-quarantine. As of September 28, they still are not showing any of the outward signs of COVID-19.
The Long Term Care Facility has been closed to the public when the pandemic began in March, but there have been outside family visits since.
Cody Regional Health and Park County Public Health continue to work closely together, especially in light of the recent surge in cases observed in Cody and Park County. Drive Through COVID-19 Testing is still available at Cody Regional Health on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 8 AM.
Available resources are being evaluated on a daily basis to ensure that all patients can receive the best care possible, whether they have COVID-19 or not.
Neither entity is mincing words: the virus is real and remains a serious threat. In order to do their best in ensuring the health and safety of Park County residents, they ask those residents to continue taking the simple steps to protect themselves.
Wear a mask. Social distance. Wash your hands.
