Cody Indoor Track 2nd in Gillette, Matt Nelson Set 2 Records

The Cody Indoor track teams returned to action last week as they were in Gillette for the Thunder Basin Invite.

Both the Broncs and Fillies would finish in 2nd as a team.

Leading the way for the Broncs was Matt Nelson who took 1st place in the 55, 200 and 400 meter dashes. His times in the 200 and 400 are school records.

Nelson finished with a time of 23.30 in the 200 and 52.04 in the 400.

Some other notable finishes include:

David Juergens was 3rd in the 800.

Charlie Hulbert and Riley Nielson were 1st and 2nd in the 1600.

Ben Stewart was 3rd in the 3200 with Riley Nielson 5th.

Graidin Arnold was 3rd in the 55 meter hurdles.

The 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams took 1st.

Remy Broussard was 2nd in the High Jump with Ben Hogan 5th.

Broussard and Logan Class went 1-2 in the Long Jump.

Isaac Winters was 2nd in the Triple Jump.

Kaden Clark was 1st in the Pole Vault with Aiden Power 5th.

Keegan Hensley was 2nd in the Shot Put.

Over on the girls side:

Ava Meier was 5th in the 55 Meter Dash and 3rd in the 200.

Taylen Stinson was 2nd in the 400 with Keira Jackson 4th and Aspen Kalkowskie 5th.

Ada and Julia Nelson went 1-2 in the 800.

Taylen Stinson was 1st in the 1600, Mersades Jackson was 5th.

Aspen Kalkowskie was 3rd in the 55 Meter Hurdles, Ava Meier was 5th.

Both the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams took 1st.

Allison Gee was 3rd in the High Jump with Kenzie Ratcliff 5th.

Isabel Tayler was 3rd in the Triple Jump.

Riley Simone was 5th in the Long Jump.

Isabelle Paddock was 4th in the Pole Vault with Emileigh Dalton 5th.

Laura Phillips was 5th in the Shot Put.
