The Cody High School Wrestling team began its season last weekend with the Powell Invitational.
Teams from Wyoming and Montana competed at the tournament.

For the single Fillies’ Wrestler Ashton Hubbs who finished last season as the Girls 170lb runner-up and number 2 ranked.
Ashton won the 170lb weight class at the Powell Invite this season.
For the Broncs Senior Ty Peterson placed 2nd in the 126lb weight class at the Powell Invite.
Ty finished as runner-up last season in the 113lb weight class and ranked number 2 in the weight class, Ty has moved up to 126.
Also, the 126lb weight class is Sophomore William Wood who finished 5th at the Powell Invite.
William finished 4th in the 113lb weight class last season in his Freshman year.
Junior Trey Smith won the 132lb weight class at the Powell Invite.
Trey was the 106lb State Champion his Freshman year, Smith wrestled last season with an injury.
The Broncs 144lb weight class 3rd place finisher, at the Powell Invite, Sophomore Kannon Grant.
Sophomore Cinch Dalton finished 4th in the 175lb weight class at the Powell Invite.
Cody will host Lander in a dual Thursday night at Sweitzer Gymnasium at 5:00 pm.
Friday and Saturday Cody will be at the Battle of the Big Horns in Worland.
Buffalo, Cody, Douglas, Glenrock, Greybull/Riverside, Kelly Walsh, Lander, Lovell, Newcastle/Upton, Pinedale, Rawlins, Riverton, Rock Springs, Rocky Mountain, Shoshoni, Thermopolis, Torrington, Worland, Rapid City Christian/New Underwood SD are scheduled to compete.
