The Cody Cubs were back in action Wednesday night as they took on their Park County Rivals, Powell, for the first time this season, over in Powell.

The Cubs got the first game started with an early 1-0 lead but that’s the only time they would find themselves in front.

Powell answered with a 3-run 1st highlighted by a Trey Stenerson 3-run homer and the Pioneers never trailed after that.

Offensively, the Cubs were led by Wyatt Carlson who clobbered a bases clearing Triple.

In game 2, the Pioneers picked up right where they left off, scoring the games first 3-runs.

Cody would cut the deficit to 3-1 after 4, before Powell tacked on 2 more in the 5th. The Cubs answered again, plating 2 in the 6th but a 4-run 6th by Powell doomed the Cubs.

All of Powell’s 9-runs in game 2, came with 2 outs.
