Cody Cubs Sweep Cody Tournament

The Cody Cubs closed out the regular season over the weekend with a sweep of the Cody Tournament. The Cubs would go 4-0 over the weekend and capped the tourney on Sunday with a 5-2 win over Gallatin Valley for their first win this season against the Outlaws.

The Cubs won their first game of the tourney, Friday, defeating Jackson 10-0.

Devyn Engdahl was the star of the show throwing five innings of one hit ball while striking out nine.

On Saturday, the Cubs would crush Air Academy High School out of Colorado Springs 20-1.

Tyler Grenz would throw all five innings in this game, allowed two hits, one run, walked one and struck out 10.

They would beat Jackon again on Sunday 12-2 before knocking off Gallatin Valley.

Vs. Jackson Ethan Johnston would throw five innings of five hit ball, walked one while allowing two runs (one earned) and struck out two.

And against Gallatin Valley, Jackson Schroeder went six innings, gave up six hits, 2 runs, one earned, walked one and struck out seven.

Tristan Blatt would hit a home run every day during the tournament.

The Cubs close out the regular season 36-15. Up Next: They take part in the District Tournament in Lovell July 16-18.
