Cody Broncs Football With A Hard Fought Loss To Star Valley

The Cody Broncs lost a hard-fought football game against Wyoming 3A number 1 ranked Star Valley 52-35 in Afton on Friday.

The Broncs ran the ball 31 times for 149 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Cody had 41 pass attempts for 330 yards and a touchdown.

Special teams for the Broncs 4 plays for 87 yards.

The Broncs had 566 yards on 76 plays and 5 touchdowns.

Quarterback Maddax Ball was 27 for 41 with 330 yards a touchdown and 2 interceptions, Ball also ran the ball 15 times for 81 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Wide Receiver Trey Smith caught 9 balls for 165 yards and a touchdown.

Wide Reciever Chase Hatch caught 8 balls for 96 yards.

Running Back Owen Petersen ran the ball 14 times for 64 yards and caught 4 passes for 26 yards.

Defensively the Broncs had Trey Smith with 8 tackles 4 unassisted, Chase Hatch had 9 tackles 4 unassisted, and Alex Sitz had 8 tackles 4 unassisted, and .5

tackle for loss.

Star Valley had 46 rushing attempts for 319 yards with 5 touchdowns.

14 passing attempts for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns with 115 yards on Special Teams for a total of 692 yards.

The Broncs next host the Green River Wolves this Friday at 7 pm.
