Cody Bronc Wrestling Sweeps Weekend Duals

The Cody Bronc Wrestling team following their sweep Thursday evening was back in action Friday taking to Riverside.

The Broncs would pick up right where they left off defeating Greybull/Rocky Mounting in their first dual of the night Friday by a score of 54-23.

Three wrestlers would win by default (open): Ty Peterson, Micah Grant and Brady Deming. Meanwhile, six Bronc grapplers would win by fall: Ben Hogan, Jackson Wood, Grayson Beaudrie, Keaton Stone, Kale Mickelson and Danny Becker, who would all pin their opponent.

In their second dual of the night the Broncs were matched up with Lovell and would keep the winning ways going, coming away with a 48-36 win.

Against Lovell, eight Broncs would come away with victories. Ty Peterson, Ben Hogan, Micah Grant, Kale Mickelson, Brady Deming, Jackson Wood, Grayson Beaudrie and Keaton Stone would all pin their opponents.

With the wins, the Broncs have now won four duels in a row.

And now taking a look at how the Broncs performed Thursday vs. Buffalo and Wind River. The Broncs downed Buffalo by a score of 63-18. That match saw nine different Broncs win by fall and they were: Taylor Baggs, Ty Peterson, Micah Grant, Ghavin Vance, Brady Deming, Jackson Wood, Grayson Beaudrie, Collin Lindemann and Danny Becker. Keaton Stone earned a win by decision.

Against Wind River, the Cody grapplers had seven wrestlers win by fall and they were: Ty Peterson, Kash Merritt, Micah Grant, Ghavin Vance, Brady Deming, Keaton Stone and Danny Becker.

The Cody Bronc wrestling team is back in action Tuesday January 12th at Powell. This weekend they’re scheduled to take part in the Border War Duals at Casper Kelly Walsh. Stay tuned to the Big Horn Radio Network all week for more on Bronc Wrestling.
