The Cody Broncs Football team came off back-to-back games in which they scored 56 points and were 2-0 on the season.
They were heading to Washakie County to take on the Worland Warriors at their house.
Worland was 1-1 for the season and lost to Powell the week before 51-0.
The Broncs won the opening coin flip and elected to receive.
Cody took the kickoff and in 7 plays and less the 2 minutes scored a 24-yard touchdown pass from Maddax Ball to Troy Schroeder.
Broncs go up 7-0.
Worland went 8 plays and 21 yards and would punt back to the Broncs.
Cody taking the football deep in their own territory at the 2-yard line, a miss-que would cause a fumble that Worland would recover at the 37-yard line.
Worland would score 2 plays later and tie the game at 7 apiece with 5 minutes 30 seconds left in the 1st Quarter.
From that point, the Broncs would not look back.
Cody would score 8 more touchdowns in the game.
Grady McCarten scored from 1 yard out to make the score 14-7 just at the end of the 1st Quarter.
McCarten would add to his stats with an interception on the next Worland possession, and Cody would score 9 plays later Maddax Ball to Jacob Ball for a 44-yard touchdown pass, even after the Broncs had a 1st and 35.
Broncs up 22-7 after a successful 2-point conversion.
The Warriors would fumble their next possession, and Cody would score on a 17-yard touchdown run by Conner Moss, Broncs up 29-7.
Cody would block a punt in the end zone on Worland’s next possession, Warren Sorenson with the touchdown.
Worland would fumble and again the Broncs would score on a 4-yard touchdown run by Owen Peterson 5 plays later.
The Broncs led 50-7 at the end of the 1st half.
Worland started the 2nd half with the football and went 3 and out, With a short punt the Broncs took over at the 14-yard line.
Maddax Ball would score on the next play and from the 9:34 mark in the 3rd quarter the Broncs were on a continuous running clock.
Owen Monfeldt scored the final touchdown for the Broncs ending the game with a 64-7 Cody win.
The Broncs recovered 4 fumbles and had an interception for 5 turnovers all of which Cody converted into touchdowns.
Cody had 224 rushing yards and 213 passing yards for a total of 437 yards.
The Broncs’ defense held Worland to 24 rushing yards, and 45 passing yards for a total of 69 passing and rushing yards, Worland had 77 yards in 7 returned kickoffs.
Cody has outscored their opponent 176-16 in 3 games.
The Broncs host Buffalo next Friday at Spike Vannoy.
