The Cody Broncs came into the game against Lander with questions that needed answers.
The Broncs needed to replace 18 starters, 8 on offense and 10 on defense.
Would the team speed be the same?
Could the defense hold?
Yes, and Yes.
In the first half of football, the Broncs ran for 315 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground.
Junior Quarterback Maddux Ball threw for 72 yards with 2 touchdowns to Junior Wide Reciever Chase Hatch one for 27 yards and the other for 28 yards.
Ball also had a 40-yard TD run in the first half, Ball did throw 2 interceptions but the defense didn’t give an inch.
The Bronc defense held the Lander Valley Tigers to -4 yards rushing (negative), Five 3, and out possessions of their 9 in the first half.
Cody had an interception and a fumble recovery all before the intermission.
The Broncs led the Tigers 42-0 at the half.
Cody would score 2 more touchdowns in the 3rd quarter and Lander would get a safety in the 4th to get a final score of 56-2.
The Broncs had 546 total yards 373 on the ground with 173 through the air.
Lander had 118 total yards with 113 rushing and 5 yards passing.
The Broncs are 1-0 this season as the game was counted to their record and not a scrimmage.

The Broncs will travel the Riverton on Friday and face the Wolverines in Riverton.
