Bronc Junior Captain Bradley McKenzie spoke on breaking the 200 Freestyle record this is what McKenzie had to say, ” Breaking a record for the first time is definitely a crazy experience. It is great to see the results after long and hard relay morning and afternoon practices. It is surreal to be breaking a record after looking at that record board for so many years and finally, I was able to accomplish this goal. It was amazing and I won’t ever forget it.”

Bronc Sophomore Diver Bryson Laing commenting on the season so far, ” I think the season has been going really well. I’ve gotten the chance to learn a ton of new dives over the break, making it easier to do well in meets. Some of these include a back somersault with 2 and 1/2 twists and forward 2 and 1/2 somersaults in pike. I know there will be some good competition from Green River for me, but I think I’ve been doing pretty well in general, and I’m excited for state.”

Coach Emily Swett talked about coming out of the break. ” It’s always fun to come back to competing after the holiday break. While it’s great to get some good training in, it can get a little tedious towards the end, and I know the boys were eager to see some competition. As we enter the midpoint of our season, the team is definitely getting stronger. A little tired at times, too, which is to be expected at this time. We’re really set up for the remainder of the season.”

Bradley McKenzie set a NEW team record in the 200 Free with a 1:50.46

Jonah Woods 200 IM lifetime best.

Townsend Bailey season-best 50 Free.
