The Bighorn Canyon Visitor Center in Lovell will move to winter hours starting Sunday, October 1. The Visitor Center will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 – 4:30 and will be closed on Sundays and Mondays, and most federal holidays throughout the winter.

The Cal S. Taggart Visitor Center in Lovell, WY will move to winter hours starting October 1, 2023. The Visitor Center will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 – 4:30. It will be closed on Sunday and Monday and most federal holidays throughout the winter. The park is working to keep this schedule, however, going into the fall and winter, the visitor center may be subject to unplanned closures due to minimum staffing.
The aquatic invasive species (AIS) check station at Crooked Creek Ranger Station near Horseshoe Bend closed on September 5, 2023. If boaters need to have their boat inspected, the staff at the Lovell visitor center can inspect your boat. Please call in advance to ensure a certified inspector will be on duty.
