Big Horn Basin Media Reporter Andrew Rossi Takes Part In DJ Storytime At Cody Park County Library

Summer is a time for vacations, cookouts, and parades.  And reading.

Wait, what?  Reading as a summertime activity?  Yes, according to Karen Horner who is the Park County Library director.  the library is offering their summer reading program for kids and adults and they’ve come up with another fun program to get kids to read more during the hot summer.

DJ Storytime is program where local on-air personalities, (don’t call them DJs), go to the Park County library in Cody to read to elementary school kids. KODI’s own Andrew Rossi joined the kiddos in the children’s section of the library. Over the next month, Big Horn Basin Media will be part of the program for children of all ages, giving parents an easy solution to have their kids away from video and screens and into an educational setting.

Andrew read two stories: This is a Ball by Beck and Matt Stanton. The reading elicited quite a few giggles from the children, made even funnier by Andrew’s interaction with them. The next book Andrew read to the rapt crowd was The Interrupting Chicken by David Ezra Stein. Comical and interacting, the children seemed to love this one as well. They kept laughing out loud and had fun catching all of the little references.
