7220 Sports names Jim Talich 22nd Best Wyoming Football Player of All-Time

Cody’s own Jim Talich has been ranked the 22nd best Wyoming Football player of all-time, according to 7220sports.com.

This Summer, Cody Tucker and 7220Sports.com is releasing their top 50 Wyoming Football players.

Jim, originally from Pine Bluffs, Wy., played linebacker for the Cowboys from 1994-1997.

Talich was a walk on for the Pokes and to this day is the third all-time leading tackler in the school’s history with 440.

He garnered All-Western Athletic Conference honors during his junior season and earned academic All-WAC honors.

Coach Talich’s 138-tackle performance in 1996 is still good enough for sixth in program history. His 18- tackles in a 22-19 victory over Air Force that season is still tied for seventh all time.

Talich is currently the Cody Broncs defensive coordinator and helped lead the Broncs to their 3rd State title in the last six years.
